Frequently asked questions
Hi, I'm Lucia the artist behind Soul and Roots Design. I create nature-inspired, souldful pieces that reflect individuality and intention. Whether you are exploring my art or my products, customizing a gift, or wondering about shipping and sustainability, this FAQ is here to help. I've gathered the most common questions from our community to make your experience smooth and meaningful. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, feel free to reach out—I'm always happy to connect.
Soul and Roots Design is a a brand I created where I make nature-inspired art pieces that celebrate individuality, culture, and belonging and apply them to everyday products. Each design is inspired by nature and shaped by the stories we carry—those of migration, memory, and personal transformation. My work is especially meaningful for those who live between cultures, who seek to reconnect with their heritage, or who are building a sense of home in new places. Through custom-designed products, I aim to offer not just decoration, but a sense of grounding—bringing soul to your space and roots to your story.
I started with framed prints—it's what I originally made for myself—but then I had a lot of fun seeing my designs come to life on different products. There are so many options available, but the reality is that some items come with high production or shipping costs, which makes it hard to offer them at a fair price, like the bottle openers. So right now, I’m curating the product range to try keep things accessible. Sometimes I get exited with a product and I love it so much that I offer it anyways, as I feel it's special. If there’s a product you’d love to see with my designs, please feel free to reach out and send your suggestion. I’m always open to exploring new ideas!
For the moment I am offering:
- Framed and unframed prints
- Tshirts
- Baby bodysuits
- Beach towels
- Mugs
- Aprons
- Passport Covers
Coming next:
- Baggage covers, Luggage, umbrellas
Absolutely—I love new ideas! There’s such a huge range of possibilities for creating new designs… basically, the whole world is fair game (literally, since I work with maps and country-inspired art 😄). There’s always something brewing in my studio, but I’m happy to prioritise ideas that come from you. If you have a product or concept you’d love to see, just reach out through my contact form or email. If it’s doable, I’ll work with you to bring it to life—and your idea might even become part of the permanent collection!
Most orders are processed within 2–5 business days. Delivery times depend on your location and where the product is manufactured and print. In general is about a week, with some arriving in 3 days and others in 10 business days. I will set up a better estimation by product once I can have a bigger sample to get average timing. Aprons take between 15 and 20 days.
Currently, I ship within Australia through my Wix store. For international orders, please visit my Etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/au/shop/SoulAndRootsByLucia.
I'm gradually adding more products to Etsy each week, so if you're looking for something specific and can't find it there yet, feel free to reach out — I’d be happy to help!
If you order more than one of the same product, they’ll be shipped together. However, if your order includes a mix of different products, they may arrive separately — as each item is printed with my artwork and fulfilled from different production centres. Please note that some products may take a little longer to arrive than others.
I specifically chose to use a print-on-demand model, so that products are only made when ordered, this helps reduce overproduction and waste. The level of sustainability also depends on the product itself, and my suppliers are constantly working to improve their overall environmental impact.
- Many providers use water-based inks and low-waste production methods.
- Orders are shipped from the nearest available location, helping to reduce carbon emissions.
- Some suppliers offer plastic-free packaging and carbon-neutral shipping.
Yes, I still paint with acrylics and mixed media all the time. It has a completely different feel compared to working with watercolours, and I really enjoy that contrast. Each medium brings something unique to the process, and I love switching between them depending on the mood or the idea I’m exploring.
